Help save Mr. Roy Jones Sr. home

Donation protected
Mr. Roy Jones Sr, boxing coach of Pensacola, Florida, is a 70 year old Vietnam War Veteran and has lost his home where he has lived and served others for nearly thirty years. Mr. Jones, having a lifelong passion for the sport of boxing, has freely opened his home, which includes a self made boxing gym and barn, to countless citizens in Pensacola and various parts of the world. People from all walks of life have journeyed this land he calls home, including aspiring boxers, athletes, troubled youth and father-son duos.

Mr. Roy Jones Sr is, and has been a pillar in the community, though remaining out of the spotlight and flying under the radar. He has poured into the lives of so many people; providing guidance, instilling leadership, increasing life skills, teaching boxing lessons, accountability, and offering a safe outlet for frustrations.
Unbeknownst to most, Mr. Jones has not ever been supported financially by any member of his family.  Mr. Jones has made his living over the past 20 years from odd and end jobs to include plumbing and electrical services, raising and selling livestock and the bartering system.

Unfortunately, without his knowledge Mr. Jones’ home was acquired as part of a third party business settlement many years ago. Meanwhile, Mr. Jones continued to pay taxes on the home as he was unaware of this settlement and never informed that the home no longer belonged to him. However, within the last 30 days Mr. Jones learned  the business that acquired his property was forced to liquidate its assets, which now includes Mr. Jones’ home. As a result, this has caused his home to be placed on auction. With limited resources Mr. Jones is at risk of having to move out.

Many who know Mr. Jones refer to him as an amazing role model for men and a father figure; considering the land that he has cultivated to be the village that has raised several.  To think that at this time in his life Mr. Jones will have to move out of his home and close the doors to the people he serves daily after nearly 30 years, is not only devastating to him but would be a major loss for the community. If this has touched your heart in any way, please help Mr. Jones become the highest bidder, and restore the home to its rightful owner. The online bid ends Wednesday, April 11, 2018 @ 11:00am CDT. Let’s come together and help Mr. Jones remain in his home and keep the gates of the gym open to the many who freely visit and train there daily.

Please share this information and donate whatever you can and quickly. All donations are greatly appreciated and will go to Mr. Jones having a place to live.
