Help Paul with Roof Repairs

For years now, I have been trying to help my friend Paul.  Paul is a retired, poor elderly man that I befriended many years ago that lives in a very poor neighborhood in the City of Rochester.  The neighborhood we call Beechwood.  Beechwood is rampant with stray and feral cats – I started to feed and shelter those cats, starting off with one shelter that led up to 19, the number it is at today.

Paul’s back yard was one of those shelters.  Paul allowed me to place shelters behind his house for the strays that were on his street.  He is one of the few people in this neighborhood that had any compassion for these poor creatures out there, and he welcomed them into his heart and home.  To this day, I still go out and feed over a hundred cats every morning of my life.  I try to spay and neuter as many as I can, to reduce the population in this neighborhood.   He is a wonderful gentleman who is struggling on a fixed income. He is a retired senior and is in desperate need of a new roof and some ceiling repairs.

Paul hired someone a while back to make the repairs and he agreed to purchase the materials. The contractor made a few minor patches and then took off with the remaining materials and used them on another job.

He tried to get a grant from the City of Rochester but was turned down because the style of his house does not meet the requirements. He is not eligible for a loan because of his limited income.

This poor man is living with this leaky roof and it is causing damage to other parts of his home. He worked hard all his life and helped many where he could. Now he needs help.
