Help Me Buy A Van

Hi, my name is Kathleen, and I'm happy to share my story with you. Thank you for visiting. The video that Bob Wells did for his CRVL YouTube channel is included on this GoFundMe page. It will tell you everything you need to know, and probably more.

I am 63 years old so it's not like I can start a new career. After working 40+ years as an electronic assembler I was let go from a series of jobs that had nothing to do with me - downsizing, selling of companies, or going out of business. Over time, I lost everything - my home, my savings, and the retirement went out the window with the various companies. I found myself either looking at being homeless or moving in to my car.

It turns out that I love being a nomad, and while my Chevy Sonic tiny car gives me a roof over my head, I need - and quite honestly - deserve a better way to live. I want a van and my Social Security will never allow me to save up for that. I need your help. Please.

I live on $1036 a month. Since I was not planning on any of this, I currently have a car payment and insurance that eats up half of my monthly check. Other than that, I pay for my phone and very limited data usage. The remainder, approximately $400 is what I live on - for everything: groceries, gas, toiletries, medical, etc.

I can do this life. I love this life, and I can enjoy the rest of my life, but I need a van. Your contribution will help me get a comfortable home, and I hope to be living in my new (USED) van before winter settles in.
