We need your help to get Freddie a therapy dog!
Freddie is 7 and has Downs Syndrome & Apraxia, he is non-verbal and uses sign language to communicate. He is the life of the party, loves all things Toy Story, swimming, music & puppies!
Freddie is a doting big brother to his 3 younger brothers Preston, Indy & baby Dash.
We are Don & Vanessa & with our 4 boys make a family of 6 living in Coffs Harbour, Australia.
A Therapy & Companion dog is our next step in the journey to help Freddie live his best life.
The therapeutic benefits of specially trained Therapy Dogs for children is well researched & with the help of an expert trainer we are excited to see the possibilities for Freddie.
Through being active and participating in swimming, gymnastics and music lessons we have seen Freddie come alive and make many advancements. We believe a Therapy Dog will continue this simulation on a sustainable daily basis.
The companionship & confidence of having a best mate with him always will bring is another motivating factor for us.
Any support you could offer us in helping our little man with this next journey to more independence & ability will be so greatly appreciated!
