Help Angiola Secure Her Identity

Hey y'all. I have a request on behalf of my friend, Angiola.
The recent election results have rattled most everyone I know for varying reasons, and the only positive outcome I've seen is how so many of you have jumped into action - supporting valuable non-profits, sending protest postcards, and speaking up against discrimination and inequality. There's something else we can do - something tangible that will directly and immediately affect the life of a genuine and sweet human being - and I'm asking for your help in making it happen.
Like many in the trans community, Angiola has significant anxiety about her safety and rights under a Trump presidency. A major element of her transition process is claiming her own identity, and being legally recognized with the name she's chosen for herself. Something that was an eventuality is now a priority, but conjuring $270 in a short amount of time only adds to her anxiety - Angiola works full time for slightly above minimum wage, and coming up with these funds on short notice is daunting and has her in limbo. Anything over this amount will help Angiola cover her monthly costs while in transition - medical appointments, perscriptions, therapy, and other. Costs that most folk don't require, or even consider.
While not trans myself, I believe I understand how necessary this seemingly small step can be to certain individuals. The name I was given at birth never sat right with me, and even as a small child I had friends address me as anything other than what I'd been assigned. In my early 20's, I made it official, changing my name to something that was true to who I was as a person - and it was a life changing moment in my timeline. For Angiola, this name change is even more significant - it's who she identifies as, and is a critical step in how she walks into her future.
Please note that Angiola is asking for nothing. With her permission, I'm asking for her. She's a beautiful person with so much heart, and I'm hoping you'll help me help her make the next big step in her life. Let's do something concrete and real and join her in reaching her goal.
