Greenville Flag Project
Donation protected
Over the past several years the Kruse family has added almost 2,000 American Flags to the patriotic display along Greenville's Historic Park Street, the Audie Murphy Overpass leading into Downtown, and have lined I-30 from Monty Stratton Parkway to Moulton Street. Many residents of Greenville already participate and have a flag placed in their front yard by the Greenville Daybreak Rotary. The Kruse's were inspired to go out on their own and acquire the flags after watching CBS Sunday Morning episode that featured Larry Eckhardt aka "The Flagman" and his efforts to honor America's fallen heros. In the past few years, the flags have been used to line a portion of the funeral procession of the Fallen Police officers in Dallas, Little Elm as well as the late Navy Seal, Chris Kyle, and other events around the area.
