Fiji Orphanage
Fiji has become a place that is very important to me. the first time i visited it was only for a week. But the love and kindness shown to me by people who live in poverty was astounding. Fijian people have the mindset what's mind is yours. i've been welcomed into their homes into their villiages, and been accepted by them unconditionally.
A few months ago i was told i needed to rest in a stress free enviornment. So i went to fiji. A friend told me i should volunteer in an orphange but at the time i dismissed it because i didnt want to come home with a bunch of kids. I went island hopping and instead came home with a sick, malnourished little dog.
This got me thinking again about adopting some children. In late feb for my birthday i am going to volunteer in Fiji. This time with the intent of knowing how their system works so that in the next 3 to 5 years i can hopefully adopt a child or two.
For my birthday i want to give each and every child in the orphanage a gift. I want to donate diapers and children things, toys to the children in Fiji. It's going to be my personal gift to myself. i may not be able to have children biologically but i can still try to enrich other childrens lives that are from a thrown away population. I can do some good. And i know i can help.
Please, if you want to give me a christmas gift or a birthday present donate to my cause. I dont want presents this year. My plane tickets are bought and paid for. the only thing left is to find a way to be able to bring little happiness items to children who are unaccostomed to being important. A good wage for a fijian person is 2.50 an hour.
All my life i've known i wanted to make a difference. I turn 30 this year. And i think this year is the year to make a difference. i'm leaving the last weekend in Feb! Anything and everything will help. I wouldnt mind going over my estimated amount. but over or under this is something i have to do.
