Support for Mia and Alex

Dear friends and family,
Many have reached out asking us how you could support our friend and sister Hanh Nguyen and her two children Mia and Alex Tran. We've set up this campaign as a way for you to provide support to them, should you wish. All money collected will go directly to Hanh and her children, and will be used to fund their education and other expenses.
Phong was an exceptional young man, who always put his family and friends first. His days were always preoccupied with taking care of his two children, Mia (5) and Alex (5 months). He enjoyed cooking and experimenting with new recipes, and was the main chef in the house. His hospitality frequently extended beyond his family, and his home was a central point for people to connect. If you know him, he probably went out of his way for you at one point - that is a common thing that we have heard.
Phong always went above and beyond to make sure his family was well taken care of, and always did everything in his power to make sure his children had positive life experiences. He wanted to take Mia and Alex camping so that they could have new experiences - enjoy a campfire, play in the sand, collect things from the wilderness.
While the camping trip turned into a tragedy, we take solace in knowing that he passed quickly, and that he enjoyed his last moments with his daughter with whom he loves immensely.
We thank everyone for any contributions. We know that in a time of need, people want to come together to provide support. The best way to support Phong's survivors right now, is to take care of what he valued most in life - his family.
