Get People to QEDcon 2017!
In 2011 I started fundraising so that I could buy tickets to send other people to QEDcon , an annual science and skepticism conference held in Manchester, England. Please help me to do the same in 2017.
Why do you do this?
It all started in 2011 when a friend wanted to meet a speaker of whom he was a huge fan at the 2012 conference but he couldn't afford a ticket. I crowdsourced the funds for his ticket but ended up with too much cash and just kept going and I've been doing this every year since.
The conference is a great event and a fantastic place to meet like-minded people and hear from some of the best speakers and creators across a broad range of scientific subjects.
This year I want to send at least ten students to QEDcon and the tickets will cost £750. I will buy as many tickets that funds are raised for, and any funding under £75 remaining will be donated to The Good Thinking Society.
