Get Luigi back to Rome, Italy

As most of you know Luigi Rimonti made the headlines this week for accidentally driving to Rom instead of Rome. Although the press have made the story sound funny, Luigi had saved up a lot of money to get him on his trip to see his family in Italy which he’d been looking forward to for months.
Luigi is an 81 year old man and when the Sat Nav took him to Rom, Germany after getting the ferry to Amsterdam, he realised he was in completely the wrong country! He got out the car to seek help and hadn’t put the handbrake on, the car started to roll back with the door open which then dragged him and took him off his feet, where he suffered injuries to his back, head and legs as you can see below.
The incident left Luigi in Germany for around a week by himself in hospital, his car is written off and had to leave his case so has left all of his belongings behind. He’s now without a car, shook up and devastated he hasn’t made the trip to see his family. At 81 years old, he is left wondering if he will be able to save up to see them again.
We’re hoping to raise a little money to get him back to Italy to see his family and friends, I’m sure you’ll all agree Gino is a lovely man, and a legend at that, so any help would be greatly appreciated to get him back to Italy and spend some time with his family and friends!
