Puerto Rico and Frisco Alante
As we all know, PR is currently undergoing a natural disaster with the aftermath of hurricane Maria who has destroyed major communication and electrical power. While so many people want to have fundraisers, the main concern is that many funds never reach the local need level, like my cousin Frisco Parotte, Jr. and his food truck business, Spicy People.
Many organizations take several weeks, months and even years to disperse important resources needed. We have experienced that in the mainland, now imagine that situation on an island...
Frsco lives off the land creating flavorful foods that have gained him popular attention in his town. He entered culinary competitions and was also featured on PR television for his earthy and soulful style. He worked diligently for many years by cultivating the land to raise crops and utilize them in his ingredients for his signature sauces and dressings. The land is his livelihood. How can he make those 100% natural flavors without the land that supplies his resources?
My cousin, Frisco Parotte, is a native of Puerto Rico and a proud supporter of his local community. He took of his own funds to fix a much needed sidewalk in Levittown, PR that posed a safety issue to senior pedestrians. At home, my cousin has no filter when it comes to his community. He believes in helping the people directly due to obscuring politics that prevent underserved communities from getting the resources they desperately need.
Now is the time for him to be on the receiving end. I am unable to directly communicate with him and my Uncle Frisco Parotte, Sr aka Tio Gallego at this time. However; I am told they are alive and managing the best they can. Here in the US my heart and that of other families are convicted to help how we can. We will procure to help aid in the rebuilding of my cousin’s business and immediate neighborhood with all that it takes. We cannot do it alone and need your financial support.
Therefore, please help us raise $5,000 to DIRECTLY help families in San Juan, Levittown and the food truck business of Frisco Parotte Jr., a Robin Hood of his town. EVERY single dollar and cent will help send non-perishable foods, coal, light clothing, and money to get a head start on rebuilding the community he serves. Thank you so much for your contribution.
