My name is Elliot Hoyte, I am from Tavistock England. I now reside in Boise. As a former player, the recent lack of attendance at Boise State Football games is concerning. As I began to challenge the reasoning behind it, I identified an opportunity to boost attendance by providing tickets to fans who can't necessarily afford to make it to Bronco home football games.
There are hundreds of fans out there who love the Broncos, but don't have the financial means to be there on game day.
The money raised will contribute solely towards the purchase of tickets for families and individuals who are financially challenged or disadvantaged. I have no personal relationship with any of those who will be given tickets, but it is important to help others when we can! Let's fill the stands on October 21st against Wyoming and give people a chance to root on our favorite team!
I am working to distribute the tickets via some local organizations who have stepped forward who work with the targeted groups. They will primarly be distributed through the Meridian Police departments to a number of organizations including CATCH, YMCA, School Resource Officers, and The Boys & Girls Club.
I initially set the goal at $2500, that should be able to provide roughly 20 families of 4 with tickets. The response in the first 24 hours was incredible. I think this is just the start, so on Saturday 16th I raised the bar to $10,000. What if we could surpass even that?! I am hoping that a local business or entity would be willing to step forward and maybe match a certain amount?
