Ryder is your typical 9 year old boy, who loves being outdoors.  He has a younger sister called Ruby and a younger brother called Oliver and you can normally find them outdoors racing on their scooters, bikes or skateboards.  

Ryder is passionate about animals and loves being around horses. He is a member of the under 10's at the Mount Martha Football Club and supports Carlton against the wishes of some of his Uncle and Aunties.


Ryder was admitted to the Royal Children's Hospital on Wednesday night and in the early hours of Thursday morning, his Mum and Dad (Tegan and Matthew) received the devastating news that Ryder has leukaemia! Ryder started his first round of chemotherapy on Friday which will run for approximately a month. During this time he will be confined to the ward where Tegan will stay with him. 

Over the next 3.5 years they will have many challenges and finances doesn't need to be one of them! We've set up this page in the hope that as a community we can support Tegan, Matthew & Family.
