Members of the intersectional group, Knowledge Erases Hate, in South Carolina reached out to the director of Darul Ammanah Academy, Tahsiyn Ismaa'eel, to ask if we could raise money to provide swimwear for these children. Taysiyn was happy to report that they have since received multiple donations of swimwear for the kids, but said that they are hoping to take the children on some field trips before the end of the summer, and would appreciate any donations we could raise to help send them.
These children are from mostly low-income families and will not be able to pay for the fieldtrips on their own, so Tahsiyn is trying to raise the money on her own in order to provide them a fun summer full of memories that will hopefully surpass the feeling of being denied access to a public pool because of their religious clothing, not once but several times during a two week period.

8-8-2018 Fun Plex NJ Water Park (Paid)
8-15-2018 Penns Landing PA (Skating) $375.00
8-22-2018 Killen's Pond Water Park $300.00
8-31-2018 Dorney Park Water Park $1,000.00
Total: $1,675 (this will pay for all of the current students to attend each fieldtrip).
