Family emergency recovery
Late 2016, all of 2017, and most of 2018, has been a rough journey for my family, and we've been through some tough tides along the way. We've remained strong and positive the whole way, and we endured a very unfortunate situation in Jan 2017 that led to the changing of our entire lives after I became sick lost my job, then lost the house and lost our car shop immediately afterward while having our newborn son and my wife having health complications.
Like a big wave, we lost everything like a domino effect because I became sick for a short time, was unable to work, and my job was selfish about my pay and employment. I even worked while being sick, but it wasn't enough after always giving 50-60 hour weeks freely.
Since then, it's been an uphill battle to get us back on track to a financially stable home with all of us under one roof. It's been tough.
Since we moved back to Washington state, things have gotten even harder because everything has gone up in price; taxes, fees, prices on goods, housing costs, etc.
There was a moment where we were financially stable in late 2017 and early 2018, and I decided to restart my classic car restoration business where I restore cars and flip classic cars; it went well for awhile, but lately business has been slow because of the complications of everything else, and I've lost a lot of focus on it. Since then, I've stopped concentrating on my business more, and have focused more on my primary employment (My shop is just for side work).
Sadly, my current employment (A computer tech company I create web software for and do various computer/network service for) is not paying a livable wage, with small hours, for my family and I, and I am forced into a hard position given that I've invested a lot into the business; however, there has been little gain from it for my family and I, and I might have to find a new job. With that, I've been forced to move out of my current small residence and become homeless to save money because I am unable to afford rent at this point. We've moved our son and my wife to their family's place temporarily until things have been resolved.
Currently the funds needed are more or less a buffer, and the more given, the bigger the help, to start with that will help me take care of a few important things, as well as helping me pay for a place for my family and I. Presently I have no home, and no where to sleep; this is not a joke, and this isn't exaggerated. We really need help.
Thank you.
