Hi my name is Emma and I am fundraising for my trip volunteering in Bali with The Mighty Roar. They are a company who have been supporting under developed areas since 2017, and their community projects provide sustainable care and assistance to help aid the people who are most in need.

In Bali the vast majority of nurseries charge for their services which is hard for families, especially in the North where I will be based as their main income is from fishing and farming. As most people know, Bali has become a global tourtist destination attracting over 5 million foreigners from around the globe every year. Although this has transformed the island substantially it relies heavily on the locals being able to speak fluent English, and in the rural towns most cannot speak English at all. The Mighty Roar aim to give young children the education they may be missing out on and teach English from a young age.

I will be working for 6 weeks in a town in the North of Bali called Tianyar in their community nursery getting involved in arts and crafts, singing, dancing, sports and helping the local staff with their day to day duties, but also just interacting with the children in creative and energetic ways.

This funding goes towards supporting me to fund my volunteering to the charity to provide the best level of early year education, without The Mighty Roar these children would not experience any form of education. This money will also be going towards materials and equipment that I can bring out myself to support the learning.
