We are thrilled to be growing our family through adoption!
Four years ago we were confident the Lord was calling us to adoption. After mounds of paperwork, tons of prayer and a lot of waiting, we are over-joyed to share that we are finally a WAITING FAMILY with Quiver Full Adoptions, located in South Carolina. We are so thankful to be working with their agency to bring our little one home.
Many people have asked us how they could support us in this journey. Here is our first answer: Would you pray for us? That we would always trust God's plan - even when it gets hard. Would you pray for that sweet baby that we absolutely can't wait to love on? For it's safety and well being. And lastly, would you pray for the woman who will physically carry our baby until we can? We are trusting God to take care of each of us and to continue weaving a story that always points back to Him.
Our second answer is, would you consider partnering with us to bring our baby home? We have been applying for grants and trying to cover the costs that come along with an adoption. We've been told to be prepared to pay up to $30,000 and that seems big which is why we are planning a really fun Baby Bingo Fundraiser Event for July 20th in Fort Myers. This Go Fund Me page was set up for those of you who have asked how can you give if you can't attend the event. We are so grateful for your gift, big and small. Each one gets us one step closer to bringing baby Zamot home.
Our third answer is this, would you share our info? www.meetluisandkatie.com We are still looking to be matched with an expectant mom. Maybe you know someone who is looking to place their baby for adoption. Maybe you don't. Would you share our info anyway and trust that God will piece it all together to create a story that makes much of Him. We are confident that God has called us to adopt and so we are trusting Him to provide for each and every one of our needs.
We have a piece of art for the nursery with Jeremiah 1:5 on it. "Before you were born, I set you apart." We know that before the foundations of the world, this baby was chosen for us and our family is excited to spend our lives reminding them that they are chosen and set apart.
