I’m the son of a survivor - Keep my family safe.

Hi, I'm the son of a survivor of domestic violence. My mom has been through more than most people could imagine, and she’s doing everything she can to rebuild a new life for our family. She’s working really hard to provide for us, but starting over hasn’t been easy — especially with how expensive housing is right now.   And - then her car broke down, which has made it even harder for her to get to work -which she needs to do, to take care of rent, food, and us. My mom is strong, we feel safer now, and each of us is working as much as we can— but right now, it’s just not enough.  Thankfully, we have a kind landlord who is letting us split the first, last, and security deposit into two payments. Even with that help, we’re still short money— and the first of the month comes fast.   We’re trying to raise $6,000 to:     •    Cover what we owe for rent and housing     •    Make sure our family stays safe and together     •    Help my mom get a reliable used car so she can keep working  I know times are hard for a lot of people, and I don' t like to ask for help — but if you're able to give even a little, or share this with others, we would be thankful.  Our family wishes you peace, safety and kindness in your life.  Thank you for reading our story.
