Saving Sherwood Farms from shutting down for good.
Donation protected

On April 1st of 2023 I, Chris Naab, started a project called Sherwood Farms. The idea was simple. Give men that want to work to get their lives back in order, the opportunity to do so by being hired by the communities in Washtenaw, Lenewee, Jackson, and Livingston counties in southern MI. I started with 3 men from the homeless shelter in Ann Arbor. I had gotten to know them after I had put in some time up there during their winter warming center program. We moved out to the first site in Chelsea where we stayed in pop up campers, an RV and tents. From there we moved into a house that became the Farm.
We have helped over 10 men get their driver's licenses back, find cars, get insurance, help with doctor's appointments, find job opportunities, and many things in-between. Currently we do not house any residents as the house is being remodeled. But we do have two men that we are working with to help find work and a vehicle.
If you live in SE Michigan and have any around the house projects that need to get done please get a hold of us directly. We would much rather have the work than have the money. The money is important but the reason we exist is for the work.
These men yearn for the ability to go out and work all day and be paid after. The sense of accomplishment that they get is the same as it would be for anyone else. Hard work is the key to happiness in this world. And we cannot allow our communities to be overrun by idle men. Because idle men become criminals. Its in their nature.
So if you have it in your heart and your checkbook help out the Farm to go into 2025 with either a donation or a project that we can complete for you at a very reasonable date.
