Adoption Fundraiser
Jeff and Jennifer Hand live in Montgomery Alabama. They have 5 daughters, 2 biological (Faith and Izzy), 1 adopted internationally (Meli), and 2 sisters in their custody who they are trying to adopt (Hannah and Elizabeth). Jeff is the
director of operations for Fishers Farm , a
home for people who struggle with addictions. He is also a pastor at Strong Tower at Washington Park. Jennifer is a stay at
home, home school mom, who helps her
husband run Fishers Farm.
Hannah was placed with the Hand’s by her
mother in April 2018, and Elizabeth in August
2018. In November 2018 they were officially placed with the Hands by the department of Human Resources. Since then the Hands have
been granted full custody and have had no financial help from the children’s birth parents,
from DHR, or any other organizations.
Last month, Elizabeth’s birth father tragically
took his own life. This opened up the
opportunity for the Hands to officially adopt
both girls and help them secure stability for
their future and relieve them from a constant
fear of being “taken away.”
As most of these cases are, the situation is
very delicate and the Hands have had to hire
an adoption attorney to help them with the
process of finally officially adopting the girls.
The Lord has been so gracious to their family
to have placed them and kept them all
together. Their love for the girls and the
relationships that have been built with new
parents and siblings has been a precious and
time consuming one. Hannah and
Elizabeths have both expressed a deep desire to be adopted by the Hands.
Could you help the Hands with their goal of
$6000 to adopt BOTH girls?
