Hello everyone,

One of our beloved community members and dear friend Hayden Hannis, more commonly known as Haggis to one of his online communities, we knew him from The Downbeat Discord, has passed away this week.

He was a great person and someone we truly a bright light in our community. Funny, witty, and always ready to give it to you as much as you gave him back. Beyond being one of our favorite shitposters, he also cared deeply about video games. Many of those who who knew him online would have seen his posts in the gaming channel where he could range from taking the absolute piss out of something or having a very intelligent, well thought out conversation about how great a game’s design was. I think everyone here who’s known him will always remember how funny he was but also intelligent and well versed he was in many things. He’s someone I’m going to miss dearly and I know many of you will miss him as well.

As well, he was just a great friend. Too many nights to count he would be up till 3am, 4am, sometimes 6am on voice chat just chatting absolute shite. He was someone who you could have the deepest of chats with, and he would listen without judgement, being just as open. As daft as he was, he had a level of maturity not a lot of young men have at his age. Or you could have some of the silliest and most unhinged conversations, cameras on, and laughing at each other for half an hour straight with tears strolling from each person's face. He was one of those people you could talk to for hours on end and never get bored, you knew you were in for a good night if he was ever on.

His passing will leave a massive void in this community.

With that being said, we have set up this GoFundMe page for Hayden's family as we know it is a very tough time for them and want to show them how we as a community loved Hayden as well.
