I'm running the Great North run again, 3 years after I told Dave, never to let me run that again

James and Elliot are also taking part in the junior GNR and Isaac is doing the Mini50.

We are raising funds to a cause that's really important to us. Isaac attends Woodlawn School, a specialist school, he has thrived here since starting in September 2023, he absolutely loves going to school everyday.

Isaac requires specialist physiotherapy to help with his physical development and because he has hypotonia, low muscle tone, to help with this he has regular sessions in the school pool. The pool is in need of a refurbishment and this is where the money I raise will be donated to.

Woodlawn School is a fully inclusive school catering for pupils from 2½ to 18 years old with physical, medical, sensory needs and/or moderate learning difficulties. We ensure that all young people achieve their potential personally, socially, emotionally, physically and educationally. Our current fundraising project is one of vast size! We are raising funds for the refurbishment of Woodlawn Swimming and Hydrotherapy pool. The pool was officially opened in 1992 and it is in current need of a large refurbishment. The pool enables our students to experience both swimming and hydrotherapy to suit their needs and abilities. It is especially important for our students who are wheelchair users and for those who require this form of intervention as part of their pre and post rehabilitation programmes leading up to and following surgery or medical procedures.
