Samuel Lucas Fundraiser

Donation protected

****Update. My name is Tamara Alvarez. I am 18 years old. When I saw the story going around, the one thing I kept reading was “where is his GoFundMe?” and “Can someone make a GoFundMe.”I already had an account and reached out to Samuel through Facebook asking if I could make one.He said he didn’t  know anything about it and would love and appreciate anything I could do. I have been in contact with him through calls and messages through Facebook updating him along the way. I don’t know him in person yet, but i do consider myself a friend. I spoke to Samuel and his girlfriend Christina, and they said they would love if if I could take them the money and record the whole encounter. As proof that the money is going to him, and because many people have emailed and asked for photos and video. That is what I will be doing. When I withdraw the money, I will go deliver it to him in Winston Salem, record everything as proof and after that is up to him.

Samuel has been living in a hotel, paying $60 daily, he plans to find a better home close by and use the money for rent, bills ect. He has been struggling and doing everything he could to get by but he says the money is a blessing that both he and his girlfriend could really use and need. He thanks everyone for everything they have done, whether it was a donation, comment, or prayer, he is beyond blessed.

Samuel Lucas is the man everybody has been wondering about and trying to help out. He is a hard worker and has shown that even through tough times, there is always a way.  The money raised will be to help him pay whatever bills he has, for food, and whatever he needs. Once the money is raised, it will be delivered into his hands. This fundraiser isn’t to demote his character because he is a hard worker, it is to simply help out a fellow person who is in tough times. Help out as you can and share his story!

In the recent Facebook post it said:

“I'm at Walmart and this dude walks up to me and says I got fired from my job as a cook at a restaurant because they shut down. I have eaten there and remember him he says I'm not out here begging I'm detailing and cleaning head lights and tires for $7. I said dude I'm sorry I got $2 in cash I only have my card he said no problem sir I'll clean them for $2 and he literally got in there and cleaned the hell out of them for $2! And I said sir its 94° out here and he is walking around a hot parking lot carrying a bag full of detailing stuff and working his ass off on 4th of July to feed himself. I said man your work is worth more then $2 can I buy you something he said I haven't eaten lunch so I bought him a deli sandwich and a drink and he was so appreciative of that more then the money! He sat with me in the car in the ac and ate it and went straight back to work! That is the TRUE American spirit he said the economy might have stopped but rent didn't my hunger pains didn't electric company didn't so I'm out here on my grind. I don't accept nothing without doing something! You got .50 then I'll clean a rim or two. This dude has more spirit and work ethic then anyone I've ever seen hes not asking for a handout he is doing a job for anything you can spare with a smile on his face! If you are at the Walmart on university parkway in Winston-Salem and see this dude give him a chance to show you what he can do!”
