Hi my name is Tracy and this fundraiser is to get treatment for cancer of the kidney by getting interleukin 2 a specialised treatment to increase the 5 yr prognosis I have gotten from my specialist Mr Frank o brien cuh cork ,ill start at the beginning of this journey I was diagnosed with cancer of the left kidney in oct 2009 the whole kidney was removed and only follow up ct scans were required (this cancer doesn't respond to chemo )at the last ct scan to be given remission the radiologist spotted a tiny minuscule white spot Depp in the left breast ,after the rapid diagnosis center (orchid center cuh run by my surgeon prof Mark corrigan )I was diagnosed as having a triple negative breast cancer in 2013 (the aggressive type)with required a mastectomy followed by chemotherapy,I then had a profalactic right mastectomy in 2017 when I almost didn't make it off the table as it turned out I'd developed a sever reaction to rocunorium the relaxing part of anesthesia ,2019 I got cervical cancer which was successfully treated ,then may 2023 I was refered to frank o brien after the latest ct scan showed I had also developed cancer of the right kidney but removing it wasn't an option this Time as I only had 1 kidney now ,he wasted no time and scheduled me for a partial nephrectomy on 7th june 2023 and removed the rumor along with half the remaining kidney this however just after midnight that night the kidney pieced together came apart resulting in a massive hemorrhage that left me in a coma for 6 weeks it was discussed at one point to turn off my life support as I wasn't maki g any progress and I will be forever grateful to my brother who refused to do this ,fast forward to this week when frank o brien told me the tumor has grown back very fast but this time it is inoperable and I have been given a prognosis of upto 5 yrs (if I'm lucky)but this INTERLUKEN2treatment can double the time frame and in some cases the hospital in Boston oncology center has eradicated the tumor ,hence the reason for this go fund me the cost of this IL2 trwatment is 6 to 8 thousand dollars per session using up to 35 vials at a time but there will also be the cost of flights,accommodation etc ,I am a veery proud woman and rarely ask anyone for help but ill fight to the death for my 5 children my eldest os grown up now he's 28 but my other 4 are all young aged 20,19,17 and 15 so I'm asking for your help to raise the funds to get this treatment and be there for my children as long as possible to maybe see some of the milestones like getting married having grandchildren ,little things in the grand scheme of things and yet I cannot comprehend I may have to leave them in 5 yrs especially if this INTERLUKEN2 will give me so much more time ,for all you good folks who took the time to read this I have added another pic after I recieved an app via video link for this coming fri with the cancer genetics dept of st james hospital in dublin .specifically to dis use the viability of il2 treatment I now know can be administered in St james hospital, the procedure I am told mist be done in 2 doses in the ecu ward due to the complexity and high risks associated with this treatment ,as of now I do not know indeed if im even a candidate but ill not stop trying til I do find (hopefully)a cure for this curse I've fought since 2009 ,the money raised so far will go a long way towards making any trips to dublin from cork much easier for my family to maybe even be there with me in dublin for any and whichever treatment I AM suitable for and ill not be alone I this endeavour so forthe time being I am going to reduce the amt I hope to raise since this app with st james appears to be a light at the end of a very dark tunnel ,again many many thanks to all who have donated so far
