
Zip Slide Over the Clyde for SFAD
Do you want to join Kelly, Glynis, Mark, James, Chris & Ellie in making a difference? On Saturday 14th September, Our team Zippy Daft, will be zip sliding over the Clyde. We are raising money in aid of Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us both professionally and personally.
- £18 raised can pay for a session of one to one support
- £40 can pay for an hour of bereavement counselling
- £68 can pay for a weeks worth of travel for Routes Young Persons Project
- £110 can pay for the ingredients for a cookery session for 22 young people supported by Routes.

They give listening support and information to many people and help them with confidence, communication, general wellbeing, and we link them into local support. We also help people recognise and understand the importance of looking after themselves. They also help people recognise and understand the importance of looking after themselves.
SFAD provide both national and local support services. Each year they support family members from all Scotland’s 32 council areas, and from all walks of life. They know there is no single ‘type’ of family affected by substance use.
SFAD have many local and national Family Support Services. The national Family Support Services are Helpline, Bereavement Support, one-to-one Telehealth Support and Holding On.
They are there to support you if you are affected by someone else’s alcohol or drug use. SFAD can chat, offer listening support and information, and link you to their services or local services.
SFADs support team are a small group of advisors who aim to give an individualised response to every enquiry as quickly as possible. They experience a high volume of calls and work hard to answer every one of them. If they do not answer your call, please leave a voicemail and one of their advisors will get back to you.
