As most of you know, Stacey was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2025. She had to have a double mastectomy and then went through months of both chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy. In December, she rang the bell to end her treatment then a couple of month ago she was finally given the all clear.

None of this would have been possible without the magnificent speed and care of the breast cancer screening unit at Gateshead Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

If it has learned us both something, its to live our lives to the full. We have both decided to do the UKs longest zip line (1.5km and reaching speeds over 100mph) in Wales on Saturday 22nd August and raise money for this great cause. Any donation would be greatly appreciated if you can afford to.

If there is any advice we can give to people out there, its get to know your body and check regularly. If you feel anything out of the ordinary, get it checked out straightaway.
