Living the Scrub Life Ain't Easy! Let's Help!

The COVID-19 virus has affected so many people across our country, especially here in the New Jersey area. Hospitals have become overcrowded beyond belief and are on the brink of full capacity.  Doctors and nurses are working longer shifts, with less breaks, and no time to go out and order lunch or dinner. 

Locally,  St. Joseph's University Hospital and St. Joseph's  Children's Hospital in Paterson, New Jersey, are near and dear to our hearts. Both of our children, Bella and Ava, were born there and our experience was amazing. Furthermore, great friends, basically family, who had to bring their child there under such scary circumstances, were amazed by their service and dedication. Their children returned home over a week later and is back to full strength. 
  
Professionally, I have worked with St. Joseph's University Hospital for many years during my law enforcement career. I have seen first hand how the Emergency Department has saved the lives of law enforcement officers and civilians. I  have seen first hand how they desperately saved lives of so many children who sustained non-accidental injuries at the hands of the ones who they thought loved them.

These doctors and nurses are  being asked to perform at levels never seen before. It was described to me that the "ICU is exploding" and "it's like a war zone".  So many of the areas of the hospital are being re-purposed for positive COVID-19 patients including the full service cafeteria that normally feeds hundreds of doctors, nurses, staff, per day. The Pediatric  and Pediatric and Intensive Care Unit has been moved to another part of the hospital so that area can be used to care for positive COVID-19 patients. 

My family and I are asking you to donate money to help order lunches and dinners for the doctors, nurses, and staff. All money, 100% of it, will be used to purchase food from the restaurants that have been so good to my family, friends, and coworkers over the years. The owners of these terrific restaurants who have suffered a devastating loss of income, due to this pandemic, and can really use our help as well.

These efforts to help our medical professionals can not be done by our family alone. We need you to help us accomplish this task. We, together, as one, can help so many people that have helped us all our lives!
