Support Ryan's Painful Journey to Recovery

Donation protected
My husband Ryan and I were married on February 11th, 2025. Like all couples, we had a dream for how our life was going to be. Unfortunately, it's been far from that.

On Sunday, April 27th, Ryan started feeling pain in his abdomen. On Monday the 29th, we went to the Emergency Department where we learned he had a hernia.

On May 13th, he had surgery to repair the hernia. The surgery was successful; however, he's had complications ever since.

Initially, we were told it is an infection. Ryan has had 3 or 4 different oral antibiotics as well as 2 injections. They have not worked.

Due to the intense pain, he's been off of work most of the month of May, and so far, June hasn't been any better. He has attempted to work, but it's amounted to very minimal hours as sitting, standing, and walking for any extended period of time is excruciatingly painful.

He has an appointment with a Urologist in Fargo on the 19th. We're praying for a more conclusive diagnosis, whatever that may be.

In the meantime, we're struggling as he has been the only one working and we don't know when he'll be able to get back to full hours.

We need to be able to insure his truck so that I can expand my job search beyond working from home.

I've drained my savings account. There's nothing to fall back on. And to add insult to injury, we're about to lose all the money we've paid towards the honeymoon we booked in January and have had to give up our dream of having a formal wedding reception.

Asking for help is the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I'd rather chew off my own arm than admit I need help. We thank you, in advance.
