Greetings Sangha,
COVID-19 has affected us all in many ways, both emotionally and financially. As many community members, businesses and organizations continue to face economic hardship as a result of suspending or limiting operations, the Zen Center of Las Vegas must be transparent regarding this impact on our own ability to sustain monthly expenses. We have continued to adopt to this "new normal" through our website and weekly teachings. However, the suspension of in-person practice for several months has made it difficult to sustain donations. While we hope to foster increasing financial support as we begin to welcome practitioners, both new and old for our formal in-person practice on Sundays, the long-term impact of the pandemic on our financial independence remains uncertain. The Zen Center of Las Vegas hopes to remain an "oasis in the desert" for those seeking the Dharma for years to come. We humbly ask for your support through this challenging time putting our trust in great Bodhisattva action. Any donation, the amount is truly unimportant, will be used 100% to keep our doors open. To that end, it should be noted that Zen Master Ji Haeng has never accepted remuneration for his teaching, considering it a part of his great vow to honor his teacher, Seung Sahn Sunim.
If you'd like to donate to our GoFundMe, please click the "Donate Now" button below. We can also accept venmo (@zenlasvegas) or check by mail: 901 El Camino Way, Boulder City, NV 89005.
Yours in the Dharma,
Geneva Blackmer, Treasurer
