My name is Jacob Alvarado, I been working at a steel fabrication company for about 5 and a half years, as a machine operator, welder, labor etc)

I’m a single father of 2, Leila 4 and Leonel 3. Their mom is currently incarcerated probably for the next 13 months as of this update.

My little family needs help. I fought DCS for 2 years trying to get my 2 kids back in my custody after the mother of my children had them taken away because of her mental issues.

I been holding it down as best I can for the 10 months that they have been back in my care for, thanks to support from previous foster parents(amazing people thank god), and my now ex girlfriend.

But recently she left and I haven’t heard back from her, I’m now a single parent of 2. They've been in my physical custody for about 10 months now and have daycare, but my car went down two weeks ago (head gasket, about a $1500 repair), so I can't drive them to daycare. My girlfriend has been watching them here at my home while I go to work. This past weekend, she left and is not responding to my texts or calls anymore; seems to have ghosted me.

So now I'm a single father, no running car, no girlfriend, no current babysitter to watch the kids, and no support from family. The car being down is making any kind of possible effort to make it by (just take the kids to daycare and go to work while I wait to hear back from her, if I ever do) impossible. I'm worried I won't make rent after this month, I'm worried I'll lose my job, have only been able to make it to work this week one day(Wednesday) and it’s already Thursday and I’m still trying to find a consistent babysitter who can help me watch them until I save up to either sell my car and buy another one or to have it fixed.

But yeah, donations would go towards fixing our car or having enough to try and purchase a “new” one after selling my current one, to be able to take them to daycare miles away and get myself back to work and help with bills so we can stay afloat.

I don't want my kids to go back into the system because I didn't try everything…
