Let's Journey to Build Homes
Donation protected
Anne Frank said it best......“No one has ever become poor by giving.”
We are inviting our friends and family to join together in funding our journey to travel to Cartagena, Colombia to build a homes for a families living in slum conditions.
Right now, families in this community live in slum conditions: often sleeping on the ground, vulnerable to disease, theft, and extreme weather conditions.
But together we can change this.
THE TRIP
We are going to Colombia this May to build a home for a family living in the slums of Cartagena, Colombia
Our goal is to raise $8,000 for the mission to build the houses by March 31st. Each house will cost approximately $3,000 to build. Change comes through compassion and we are asking our friends and family to help us reach our goal.
[BEFORE i.e. right now]

[AFTER i.e. this May]

THE IMPACT
Funds will go to TECHO, a US-based 501c3 nonprofit
TECHO was started 20 years ago and has built 100,000 homes throughout Latin America, in a sustainable and community-led approach
This home will have a locking door and windows for security, solid roof and walls to protect from the elements, and a raised floor.

THE PARTNER
The company bringing us on this trip is called Journey: an impact travel collective with a mission to create a generation of travelers who address the needs of our world. To date Journeyers have funded and helped build over 100 homes in countries throughout Latin America, with trips that combine 2 days of service with 2 days of integration: a model that creates perspective shifts and builds empathy for others and the Self.
