CNHS Can Drive is a cherished community project, proudly passed down from senior to senior within the Columbus North Student Assembly. Our mission is simple yet impactful: to collect non-perishable food donations from our Columbus, Indiana neighborhoods and provide them directly to BCSC families in need for the holiday season.

Each drive begins with our student assembly members distributing door hangers that invite residents to place canned goods on their doorsteps for collection. At a designated time listed on the door hangers, our members collect donations from each neighborhood in a coordinated effort. The collected food and cans are then distributed to families facing food insecurity within BCSC.

This project not only addresses a major issue in our community, but also develops student leaders in our community who learn the value of volunteer work, as each generation of Columbus North student leaders carries on the tradition of compassion and service to others.

We believe that together, small acts can lead to meaningful change. While volunteers are drawn from the Columbus North Student Assembly, we encourage all community members to support the drive by donating canned goods, food items, money, or even just spreading the word.
