In August this year, Zara’s going on a mission trip to Mexico with her church youth group (St Andrew’s Burgess Hill)!

As part of her effort to fundraise for this trip (for travel, accommodation and food) she will be doing an *8-HOUR SPONSORED SILENCE* on Tuesday 27th May!!! This is something we have challenged her to do because we don’t think she can!

WHAT WILL SHE BE DOING?

The trip will be led by Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Mission is about two things: 1) meeting practical needs in the community and 2) sharing the Christian faith with others.

A YWAM team will plan and lead a 10 day programme of volunteer work in the city of Cancún, particularly serving the poorer communities around the outskirts of the city. It’s a great opportunity to help a local team of volunteers by giving a boost to their work, and for the youth to learn, grow and get a taste for serving abroad.
