Save my brother's children
Donation protected
Dear friends and community members,
Nour Abu Dayyeh From Gaza living in Germany I am communicating with you with a heavy heart because my brother’s children are currently in the Gaza Strip, “the city of Rafah specifically,” and are suffering from the devastating effects of the ongoing conflict. The situation has become increasingly dangerous, and we fear for their safety every day.
We started this fundraiser in hopes of raising enough money to evacuate my nephews from Gaza to a safer place in Egypt. The violence and destruction have taken a toll on their mental and physical health, and we cannot bear to see them suffer any longer. We have witnessed tragedies as children, friends, relatives and neighbors lost their lives or suffered serious injuries due to this conflict. Our childhood home and memories of Gaza City were gone within seconds. Hospitals, schools and nearby infrastructure were destroyed, making the area uninhabitable. Despite all this devastation, we still hope for better times for our family and all the people affected.
Our story
My family is not just a number to our beloved mother, she devoted her life, time and love to raising 5 daughters and 2 sons
Our heroic father, who devoted his life to working in the field of banking and accounting, surrounded us with wisdom, but unfortunately this family did not remain complete. Airplane missiles surprised my 4 brothers while they were sitting in a house in Rafah after their displacement from Gaza.
My younger sister, Nagham, 18 years old, Haya, who aspired to finish high school with a high grade to study medicine, but unfortunately she lost her life and her dream disappeared forever. She was killed by aircraft missiles.
My brother Muhammad Abu Dayyah who left behind his wife and two young children, 3 and 2 years old, Sila and Mahmoud Abu Diya, after he was killed when the house he was sitting in was bombed in Rafah.
My sisters Abeer and Reem Abu Dayyah who were also killed in the bombing of the house in Rafah, and who graduated from university with high grades. Abeer finished studying psychology and Reem finished majoring in English translation, but they did not complete their burden of working in their field.
JEvacuation plan
As a result of your contributions, the funds will be used to cover travel expenses from Rafah to Egypt. In order to be included on the transit list from Rafah to Egypt, you must obtain a paid permit. Hala Travel, the official agency in Egypt, administers these permits and provides them at a value of US$5,000 per adult and US$2,500 per child under 16 years of age. In the case of our family, the number of adults will be 3 adults and 2 children. I must help my remaining family in Gaza
We will keep you updated during the event on how incoming funds will be handled to enhance transparency. You can also contact us at any time with any concerns you may have about the situation.
We hope that we can reach the targeted funds, keep the family together especially the children, who can stay with their mother. However, if there is a shortage of funds, we will give priority to children and women. It will be difficult for us to make such decisions but we will have to move forward and continue our efforts. .
The safety and well-being of our loved ones has become a major concern throughout times of war, but we hope that this campaign will revive our family's hopes. Thank you for your compassion and support during this difficult time.
I will send the money to my brother Yara Doghmush’s wife via Western Union
sincerely,
