Zanzibar volunteer project 2026

Hi my name is Dorothy Murray and I am fundraising as I have been offered a place with African adventures to travel to Zanzibar for 11 days in June 2026 to volunteer. I will be helping the children of Zanzibar by teaching in the classroom and manual work helping with building renovations. I will be helping communities, sharing knowledge and becoming part of a global network, it’s a transformative experience that contributes to positive change little by little.

Over the next 12-18 months I will doing lots of fund raising activities that will help to get me to Zanzibar to participate in this amazing volunteer project where I can really help towards making a difference.

I have to admit I’m a little scared but also super excited to have been given the opportunity to help in this way.

I will be keeping you updated on activities that I do and hoping to raise as much as I can to enable me to travel to Zanzibar to help these families.
