I am setting this fund up as many of you have been so generous in messaging me asking if you can do anything to help and if the staff are ok. 100% of donations raised will be given to our hardworking staff to support them at this time.
15 years ago we renovated Zamzam Riad after moving to Marrakech. Zamzam is an ancient gnawa house. We have had amazing times at Zamzam and been honoured by the praise from our guests over the years. Zamzam has also hosted many retreats and has been a haven for healing and growth. Our wonderful team has looked after so many guests at our special little riad hotel. From the wonderful chef Ilham who over the years has been trained in dietary requirements and foods that heal to the dedicated Aziz our riad guardien.
Following the retreat journey we opened Camp Adounia (Camp of life) in the Sahara desert to offer a more profound retreat and healing centre away from everything and offering the opportunity for some real earthing and reflection. Our team then expanded to our team of nomads. Anyone who has been to Camp Adounia will never forget the kindness and dedication of the staff.
Due to Covid-19 we were forced to shut our businesses. Without our dedicated team of staff we could never have achieved what we have been able to offer. We hope that in the coming months we will be able to open and welcome you back again.
During this really hard time for tourism with no revenue and the staff with no pay and no confirmed opening of the borders we ask that you will donate to this fund and help them support and feed their families until we can re-open.
