On 3rd January 2023 our dear friend and colleague Iris Black received the devastating news that her beloved daughter Lauren had died suddenly due to underlying health problems brought on by Covid.

She leaves behind her nine year old twin boys who have autism alongside significant health issues.

Iris, along with her son Allan and brother Ivan have been left with heartbreaking decisions regarding funeral arrangements, clearing Lauren's home, rehoming her two much loved dogs and most importantly, planning and preparing for the boys' future without their mum.

As Lauren and the boys lived in Scotland, this means financing many flights back and forward, transport, accommodation and the purchase of necessary and specialist items for the boys as access to the family home has been limited.

This is an opportunity for all those who care for Iris to support these ongoing costs for both her and her grandsons during this heartbreaking and very difficult time.
