Dear Friends and Family,

Today, we reach out to you with heavy hearts but unwavering hope, as we share the story of our brave niece, Zainah, a vibrant 15-year-old girl from the UAE, whose life has taken an unexpected turn due to a severe health crisis.

Two months ago, Zainah began experiencing unexplained pain in her legs, accompanied by swelling in her feet and high fever. Concerned, her family rushed her to the hospital where she underwent extensive testing under close medical supervision. Initial scans suggested a problem with her lymph nodes, prompting a fear of serious underlying conditions. To ensure the most accurate diagnosis, we made the decision to take Zainah to Shaukat Khanam Cancer Hospital in Pakistan for further evaluations, including a biopsy.

While awaiting biopsy results, Zainah's condition worsened dramatically—her hemoglobin levels plummeted to 7, leaving her weak and extremely ill. Despite the negative biopsy results, her health continued to decline, baffling even the doctors as she suffered from high fevers, chills, vomiting, and excruciating pain.

After numerous consultations and tests, Zainah was diagnosed with an Autoimmune Disorder, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), a condition where the immune system attacks the body's own tissues. Tragically, by the time of diagnosis, the viral infection had already inflicted significant damage to multiple organs. She is undergoing intensive treatment and in under constant observation. However, Zainah remains a fighter, determined to overcome this challenge and return to her life as a joyful teenager, eager to rejoin her friends at school.

Unfortunately, the cost of Zainah’s ongoing medical care has been astronomical. Her treatment has included multiple rounds of testing, injections, expensive medications, consultations, as well as ICU and regular hospital room charges. Her parents have exhausted their financial resources, and while close family members have contributed what they can, the expenses continue to mount daily.

In this critical time, we are turning to you, our community, for help.
