This fundraiser has been set up in loving memory of a cherished mother, daughter, sister, and friend who passed away far too soon.

She leaves behind two beloved children and a family who loved her deeply. She was known for her kindness, warmth, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Her loss has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew her.

As Muslims, we believe in giving charity on behalf of those who have passed away, with the intention that the reward reaches them. This belief is rooted in the teachings of Islam. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was asked whether charity given on behalf of a deceased person would benefit them, and he confirmed that it would (reported in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim). We also believe in sadaqah jariyah — ongoing charity — which continues to benefit a person even after death.

This fundraiser has therefore been created to allow those who wish to donate in her name, with the intention that the reward of this charity reaches her and serves as a source of ongoing good.
