Hello you lovely people, i'm running the Berlin Marathon on Sunday 25th September to raise money for Breadwinners and would love your support.

Breadwinners is an incredible grassroots charity providing jobs, work experience, training and mentoring for refugees and young people seeking asylum. 

Around 70% of refugees are unemployed despite being highly-skilled.

Asylum support from the UK government is £35.15 per person a week, almost half of the income support entitled to any other UK resident. People seeking asylum aren't allowed to work until they are granted refugee status which can take years and makes it very difficult to gain meaningful work experience...

I've been volunteering with the Risers Programme which is designed to help young people get work experience by working as Market Stall Assistants and supported with employability training sessions and 1:1 mentoring - you can catch us at Breadwinners stalls all over London and Brighton with the tastiest baked goods!
