Donna's Stroke Recovery

Our mother, Donna Henderson Bechtler, suffered a major stroke at the end of June 2023. Like many things in life, this is not something anyone could have been prepared for. As we continue to navigate a very complicated long-term care and recovery process and offer as much support ourselves as we can manage, we are also experiencing how quickly costs add up. We are fortunate that insurance covers some basic medical supplies and therapy, but there are many daily living and basic comfort needs that are not covered. We have created a basic amazon registry for items as needed--see below. We have also decided to create this GoFundMe for those who may want to contribute to living needs that can't be purchased in an amazon cart. We are grateful our mom is still with us and are firm believers that her best chance of recovery is directly impacted by the tools we have to support her. Thank you to to those who have reached out to ask how they can help even when we don't know how to answer. It has been difficult to navigate how to ask or even accept/direct help when it is offered during such an overwhelming time. We hope these resources make it easier for you to contribute in the way you would like to.
