Zack's Crib

In the district of Timiskaming there is no crisis / safe warm beds for local men and women. The closest supports are hours away and the access is limited. 

Those seeking support are almost always disproportionately struggling with mental health and or addiction. A problem that is continuing to grow in our community and in some cases causing families to lose loved ones.

We know that the best outcomes for success is when individuals remain close to family, friends and their community. Evidence has shown that having a safe place to stay for those struggling with mental health and addictions alleviates pressure on law enforcement and health care resources. 

These funds will help with all the costs involved in starting up a shelter such as advertising and eventually a location for the shelter.

With your help we will eliminate the gap in services and provide the much needed support to those who need it.
