Zachary's Tree Planting for Safer Walks
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Zachary McLean. I am hoping you will help support my Eagle Service Project.
I am a member of Troop 230 in Yardley, PA. I am currently working on my Eagle Service Project. I plan on planting 12 five-year-old native trees (4 Sugar Maple, 4 Red Maple, and 4 Eastern Red Bud) at Tyler State Park located in Newtown Township, Pennsylvania. The park is a very popular destination, especially in the warmer months. It's common for visitors to walk from the Boardwalk playground area to the Boathouse. They currently walk along the side of the road, which can be dangerous. The planting of the trees will encourage visitors of the park to walk along the newly created meadow adjacent to the road, creating a safer environment. The trees will eventually provide shade for the visitors and create an aesthetically pleasing view. I am hoping to do my project at the end of June. The cost of my project is $1800. Thank you for your donation. It is greatly appreciated.
