Hi. My name is Christina and I have 3 amazing little boys. Life’s been rough for all of us and about a month ago it got worse. The townhouse we had been living in for a few months, has mold all over. Making it extremely unsafe for anyone to live in, but my youngest is disabled and is medically fragile. He cannot be in that home at all. Our temporary living space has fallen through and now I need help. The landlord(scumlord really) covered up multiple spots of mold. Which is illegal and while there are laws against this, and lawsuits are possible too. The law doesn’t protect me from having to still pay the rent and it doesn’t pay me to move(unless it’s to another property owned by then and they don’t have one but they aren’t trust worthy anyways) As a single mom, I cannot afford the cost upfront to move and the cost of my previous rent while having to move! lawsuits take time and money upfront, neither of which I have because my lease end 7/31/2023. I just want to get my boys to a safe place and I need a little help to do so.
