This Fundraiser
The Matt Gallagher Cup was created to honour Matt’s love of rugby and the time he spent playing for both Nottingham Rugby and Coventry Rugby. This year’s match at Nottingham Rugby Club on 9th April will feel especially poignant, coming so soon after Matt’s passing. It is a chance for everyone who knew him, played alongside him, or simply heard his story, to come together and remember him. More than a game, it is a moment to celebrate Matt’s life, his strength, and the impact he had on so many people. Funds raised will support the The Matt Gallagher Foundation, helping others facing MND receive the care and support they need. Thank you for helping us honour Matt in a way that truly reflects the man he was.
The The Matt Gallagher Foundation was created in memory of Matt Gallagher, a devoted husband, father and much loved friend. Matt lived with Motor Neurone Disease, a devastating illness that affects not only the person diagnosed, but everyone around them. He faced it with courage, strength and incredible dignity. The Foundation exists to support others going through the same journey. It helps people living with MND and their families at a time when life can feel overwhelming. It also funds a specialist MND nurse at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, providing vital care, guidance and reassurance to those who need it most. This is about continuing Matt’s legacy, helping others, and making sure no one faces MND alone.
Thank you for being part of that.
