My name is Brea Houston, and I am a contestant number four.
I am proud to compete in the 2026-2027 Miss Omega Psi Phi Scholarship Pageant, representing the Beta Zeta chapter at the University of Georgia.
I am a first-year student majoring in Health Promotion with an emphasis in Behavioral Medicine on the Pre-Med track. My passion for healthcare and service has shaped my academic and personal journey, as I plan to pursue a career in medicine. On campus, I am involved in the National Society of Black Women in Medicine, which allows me to grow as both a student and a leader while continuing to serve others. I dedicate much of my time to giving back to the community. Whether volunteering at Grady Hospital, assisting with health-related initiatives like the Red Cross, or supporting organizations that strengthen access to care, I am motivated by the belief that healthcare should be accessible to all. These experiences have not only affirmed my commitment to medicine but also deepened my passion for addressing health disparities.
Motivated by the mandated program health initiatives of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., an organization that has been especially meaningful to me, is the Grady Health Foundation. The foundation supports Grady Hospital and its mission to provide compassionate care to every patient, regardless of their financial status. Their efforts in expanding access to healthcare, funding medical innovations, and supporting underserved communities align with my own goals as a future physician. By supporting Grady, I can connect my medical aspirations with meaningful service that impacts the lives of countless individuals in Atlanta and beyond. This year, I am honored to represent the Grady Health Foundation. By supporting me, you are not only helping me pursue my own educational and leadership goals but also uplifting an organization that ensures healthcare equity for so many.
Please donate to support the work of the Grady Health Foundation, allowing them to continue providing critical resources, patient support, and innovative care. Thank you so much for your generosity, encouragement, and support as we continue this impacting work together.
