My name is Destinee, and Kayla Meeks is one of my childhood best friends. I’m reaching out during the most devastating time of her and her babies' lives. She recently lost the father of her five children in a sudden, tragic accident. Bryley was their world, their protector, provider, and the person who kept their family grounded. Now, she's left trying to navigate this heartbreak while still healing from childbirth, as she's currently in postpartum.

On top of their unimaginable loss, they are facing the loss of their home, which was rent-to-own and is now being foreclosed on. She also lost her only family vehicle in the accident. As well as her kids starting school in a couple of weeks and need all their school supplies and clothes. Everything that once gave her stability is slipping away all at once, and she just doesn’t know how to hold it all together for her kids, but I know how hard she is trying.

She's doing her best to stay strong, but the emotional and financial burden is more than she can carry alone. I’m humbly asking for help to keep a roof over their heads, to find transportation, and to begin building a path forward for her children during this time of overwhelming grief and change.
