I hate that I am doing this, but we are desperate for help.

My brother had a child with a woman last February. She has not let him see the child since he was in the hospital at the beginning of May. What has come next has been an absolute nightmare: false reporting, false accusations, failing to appear for custody hearings, and not complying with court orders to return the child to the father (my brother).

Today, the constables went to retrieve the child and were met with, "Oh, I don’t know that child by that name. I changed his name, and if you don’t leave, I will file harassment charges." They left with no baby. This is a woman who has forged a judge's signature for a past custody hearing for another child, and yet she faces no consequences. The court ordered a psychological evaluation before she gets supervised visits, yet no one will go get the baby! She did not show up to the custody hearing.

This has cost our family and my brother tens of thousands of dollars in attorney fees fighting her false allegations and trying to get the child into safe hands. Where is the justice? The law enforcement doesn’t seem to want to get too involved. I am hoping to help my parents recoup a little bit of the money they have put into this so that we can continue this fight. We are all drained emotionally and financially at this point, but there is a child out there in the hands of an unstable woman.
