​I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my best friend Heidi, who has just experienced a tragedy that no one should ever have to go through. She was involved in a devastating house fire. While we are so grateful that she survived, the fire took her apartment and almost all of her belongings. But the most heartbreaking loss of all is that her two beautiful dogs, Kobe and Pepper, did not make it.

​Those who know Heidi, know that those dogs were her whole world—her family and her constant companions. Losing them has left a hole in her heart that is impossible to describe. As she navigates this nightmare, the last thing she should have to worry about is money. I am hoping we can come together to help her with the immediate costs of temporary housing, clothing, essentials, and eventually rebuilding her life. This fund will also help give her the financial breathing room she needs to take time off and grieve the loss of her beloved "fur babies."
