My name is Paula. I have been a member of a group that visits prisoners to give them the gospel. Nicole has been coming to our studies for the past 4 years and she has come to know the Lord in that time. As our relationship grew, she began to trust me and began sharing fragments of her past life. You could see the hurt and the absolute loneliness. I learned Nicole's mom had been a drug addict all of Nicole's life. This meant lots of times no dinner on the table or not even a place to sleep. All sorts of insecurities with mom and then relationships with men were even harder. She got pregnant and she had a son. Nicole had her family . Her happiness was ripped away from her when her mom overdosed at Nicole's home. Next, Nicole's son died from SIDS. Nicole was beyond help and she withdrew from the world. The guy left her soon after but she now lived in a world of black grief and loneliness. She had lost all of her family. She was arrested for drug charges and she went to jail for four years and then prison for a year. She has nothing, no possessions, no family, no friends, and no home. She wants a life spent in serving the Lord, raising a Christian family, and being a contributing responsible citizen. She needs help and she has no one to help her. I would use this money to give to Nicole so she could use it to start over and get her dream of a life spent in service to the Lord. She never complains about her life, but now she looks to honor Christ in all she does. She needs everything and she is very willing to work for things. Please help.
